Our final lab for this project was one of my favorites: a prototype landing page for Carnivore Canopy, a carnivorous plant shop! CSS variables and media queries were applied to the text on this page, allowing the font size to change along with the overall layout based on the size of the user’s viewport.
Fun Fact: Did you know that venus flytraps, unlike other carnivorous plants, can only eat live prey? After a trap is triggered, the plant will only digest its prey if it continues to move, which stimulates the release of digestive enzymes. Otherwise, the trap will slowly reopen to avoid wasting energy. What an intelligent plant!
